Meet our Owner and Master Esthetician
After graduating from college with her BS from at Middle Tennessee State University in 1986, at age 39, Dorothea Johnson changed her career from working at UnumProvident Insurance Company for 12 years. She then pursued a career in Esthetics. She had worked at the mall selling skincare in the pass and also was a counter manage for Fashion Fair Cosmetics.
She wanted to help people feel better about themselves and continue her passion with using makeup and skin care. After working in the Esthetic field, her passion to help others grew from here.
Dorothea started Inner Glow Skin Care Service in February of 2005 at Heavenly Styles Salon and Day Spa. She has also worked at Skin Solutions Medical Spa, In the Buff Day Spa, Cass Gardens Salon and Day Spa, The Health Nut, and Evanhealy Skin Care Company.
She has been an Esthetician Instructor in the Cosmetology department at Virginia College in Chattanooga, Tennessee and is currently a part time Esthetician Instructor at Brillare Beauty Institute in Chattanooga, Tennessee as well.
Dorothea is also a Holistic Esthetician who has been trained in herbs and Vitamin Supplements. She has worked for Nutrition World in the pass for over 10 years. She has also worked with several Vitamin Supplemental companies for well for over 10 years and has a background on how supplements work in the body. She believes that "what ever you see on the outside, is a reflection of what is going on in the inside."
Currently she educates clients on skincare and makeup application at her business called Inner Glow Skin Care Services in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She uses the CA Botana Skin Care line skincare products. CA Botana combines ancient herbal and mineral treatments with modern innovations. These products are not tested on animals or made with animal by-products. Every facial is catered to each individual needs.
